Always feeling on the outskirts of life, ThunderWolf found writing poetry to be a perfect outlet for her emotions. Married with two grown terrific kids and a menagerie of pets, life is good now—but it wasn’t always. This book is part of her emotional journey. A Life of Chance and Change is a collection of modern freestyle poems. They reflect the ups and downs, joys and heartaches, of life and love. Written throughout her teens and twenties, they deal with finding a new love, losing that love, the death of loved ones and pets, miscarriage, and abuse. The first chapter, Chance, is filled with optimism and light. Change, the second chapter, is more about loss, confusion, and the uncertainty of life. Everyone needs to know they’re not alone in their situations. People, male or female, will be able to relate these poems to their own personal experiences in one way or another. Knowing they’re not the only ones with those feelings will hopefully help them find a new perspective to their situation that can help them deal with it. |
